The Chili Challenge is one of Metuchen’s popular scholarship fundraiser. Sampling more than a dozen different local chilis and voting for their favorites. Prizes awarded for “People’s Choice” and “Judge’s Choice.” Proceeds benefit the BIL’s Scholarship Fund which, in its 84th year, provides an annual $1000 scholarship to a graduating MHS student pursuing a career in education, medicine, or social work.
