Pablo Picasso, BathersThe Metuchen Cultural Arts Commission is sponsoring a bus trip to Kykuit (Rockefeller Estate) and Union Church on Thursday, October 7, 2010. The guided tour of Kykuit will encompass the main rooms of the house, terraced garden with 20th century sculpture, (Picasso, Moore, Calder and more), private underground art galleries ( Picasso tapestries) and coach barn. The tour will then will travel down the road to Union Church, which contains a rose window by Henri Matisse and 9 windows by Marc Chagall. Participants may bring their own lunch as well buy from premises.
Inner Garden with View Toward the Temple of VenusThe bus will depart from Metuchen Borough Hall, 500 Main Street at 8:00am and will return at approximately 5:00pm. There is limited space available.
