The Metuchen Bulldogs Pop Warner Football and Cheer program will be hosting their First Annual Dodgeball Tournament. It will be at the Metuchen SportsPLex at 7PM on June 7. The tournament is a fundraiser for the organization that is offering free football and cheer to children in the community between the ages of 5-15 years old.

“We were looking for a new and fun way to fund-raise. It allows adults and teens to come out and play a game many enjoyed as kids,” explained the tournament coordinator and football commissioner Ryan Toth. “We are looking to raise money to continue to upgrade our equipment and help the kids in the program.”

The tournament will be split into the “Minor League” for kids ages 13-17 and Adults 18+. Depending on the amount of teams, the adult teams will be split into 2 leagues; The Average Joes and the Vegas League. Each game will have 6 players in the game, but a  team can have up to 8 players, must be coed. To ensure a fast moving night with a lot of dodgeball, each game will be 4 minutes long.
