By Miss Laurie Ann (via thesaddletones.com) – I’ve been writing and performing original songs for years as a solo artist. With encouragement from friends and family I decided it was time to form a band, and The SaddleTones were born. We play a style of music I refer to as Rock-Bopping Country. It’s firmly based in the roots of country music with just the right amount of rocking-rhythm to keep ya swinging.

The SaddleTones consists of Mike McMillan playing lead guitar on a vintage Telecaster, Arturo Baguer on the big fiddle bass, Ira “Tex” Kaye keeping the steady beat on drums, and yours truly singing the country blues and strumming acoustic guitar. We are routinely joined by musicians playing instruments such as steel guitar, accordian, piano and fiddle. I feel blessed to have surrounded myself with such a group of talented musicians, each with an extensive musical background.

As a band our primary goal is to have fun and make our audience happy. So come on out and give us a listen. You may just find yourself taking a spin round the ol’ dance floor, tapping your toes and singing along.
