via Metuchen Chamber Exchange – What is Halloween without Trick or Treat, costumes and a Halloween Parade. Every year in conjunction with the Metuchen Recreation Commission, we hold Trunk or Treat. A unique twist to the standard Trick or Treat.

Chamber business members had tables for candy distribution and families joined in on the fun and excitement by setting up their vehicle’s trunk for Halloween and offer goodies as the costumed participants paraded.

The event began at the Metuchen Senior Citizen Center on Center Street with parade line-up. The costumed youngsters paraded across the street to the Pearl Street parking lot and along table and vehicle trunks for Trick & Treating. After the parade, the costumed youngsters, family, business members and Trunk & Treat participants moved over to the Senior Citizen Center for music, photo opportunities and balloon artists.
