The Edgar Middle School Music Program held its annual Winter Concert on Wednesday, Jan. 19. The program, comprised of over 200 students, is under the supervision of Mary Lou Roma the district music supervisor.

The night began with the 7th and 8th grade Orchestra under the direction of Mrs. Catherine Morrison playing selections including Harry Potter’s Wondrous World, followed by Theme from Canon in D, Coldplays’ Viva La Vida and lastly You’re the One I Want from the musical Grease. Next to perform was the 7th Grade Band under the baton of Ms. Robyn Keyes. The audience composed of family and friends enjoyed the band tunes of Amparito Roca – a Spanish march; Three Klezmer Miniatures; Earth, Wind and Fire’s September. A rousing performance by the 7th and 8th Chorus under the tutelage of Mrs. Krombholz literally brought down the house with their rendition of Season’s of Love from the Broadway musical Rent. The night ended with the the band togethere with the orchestra and chorus performing the Star Spangled Banner.
