The Metuchen High School Marching Band and Color Guard has been invited to perform in the 2012 Orange Bowl held in Miami, Florida. This invitation is an honor for the school, the community, and our state, since they were the only group invited to represent New Jersey in this national event! This prestigious opportunity reflects positively on their efforts to provide our students with the best available educational experiences. They are humbled by this invitation to join with bands from every state. These groups combine and rehearse together two days prior to the game in preparation for the event. Additionally, there is a field show competition that awards the winner the pre-game performance for the Orange Bowl. This show venue in front of 75,000 fans will be an unforgettable experience for our students.

The per student cost of the trip is approximately $1,200.00 with airfare and ground transportation. The goal is to send all 90 members of the MHS Band and Color Guard to the Orange Bowl. In order to significantly reduce the financial responsibility to families sending one or more students, they need your help. The Band and Music Parents along with the MHS music staff, supervisor, and principal of MHS would like you to join them in making this dream become a reality.

Please join us in our goal of sending the MHS Band and Color Guard to perform at the Miami Orange Bowl by making your donation to the MHS Band and Music Parents via thru this site.
