Wednesday, June 23 through Saturday, July 3. No Sundays. Showtime: 8:30 pm

Plays in the Park located in Roosevelt Park right by our neighborhood will kick off their 2010 season with the Tony Award winning musical 1776, about the seminal act in American history: the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Sectional differences, pride and fear threaten the Declaration and the fledgling nation. Starting Wednesday June 23 and running through July 3, Metuchenites will definitely not want to miss this one. The score features hits such as “Sit Down, John” “He Plays the Violin” and “Momma Look Sharp”.

Plays-in-the-Park is conveniently located one block south of the Menlo Park Mall off of Route 1, in Edison, N.J. The turn off is called Grandview Avenue. At the top of the short hill make your first right on to Pine Drive and the Park Rangers will guide you to a parking spot.
