Temple Emanu-El Announces Important Holiday Schedule
All events take place at Temple Emanu-El unless otherwise noted.

December 6 Chanukah Shabbat (after Chanukah, keep the celebrations going!)
Yum, delicious roast chicken, potato latkes, and salad served at 6:00 p.m. Cost is $9 for adults, $7 for children. RSVP necessary (by November 29th) Dinner will be followed by a Special Chanukah Family Service appropriate for all ages.

December 7 Shabbat B’Shir!
Saturday at 10:00 a.m. A participatory, intergenerational, musical service. Open to the whole community- families are encouraged t join us.

December 8 Mitzvah Day
This is the day when our congregation performs acts of loving kindness for people in need. Everyone, young and older, is welcome to help in the various activities that make a difference in the lives of others. We begin at 1:00 p.m. on various projects that include sorting clothing (bring clothes that you no longer need or use), and such things as children’s books, wrapping paper, baby hats and blankets and food for our food pantry. You’ll come away this day knowing you have done good deeds.

December 13 Shabbat ALIVE!
A joyous and participatory musical service. Come raise your voices to the heavens as we share your pleasure. Music with a three piece band. 7:00 p.m.

December 20 TOT Shabbat!
An age-appropriate Friday evening Shabbat program for younger children up to six years old which also includes a Jewish-themed art/craft session. The program starts at 6 pm.

December 22  Jews on the Chocolate Trail
Rabbi Debbie Prinz, and author of the book “Jews on the Chocolate Trail” will be on hand to treat us with a “Delicious Adventure Connecting Jews, Religions, History, Travel, Rituals and Recipes to the Magic of Cacao.” The program starts at 5:00pm. Refreshments (including, of course, chocolate!) will be served. Free of charge, open to the community.
