It didn’t matter that it started a little late because the 58th Annual Winter Festival Parade absolutely did not disappoint! On Sunday, November 27, 2011 at about 2:30pm the speakers blared with announcements and introduction to this year’s parade participants. The Metuchen Chamber of Commerce together with official of the Borough of Metuchen kicked off the festivities to the cheers of residents and visitors. This year’s theme is ‘The Season of Giving’ and the participants gave their all to the delight of everyone on this beautiful crisp afternoon.

Main street was lined with excited children waiting for the man in the red suit! Along the wqy, there were Dance clubs, the Brownies, the Girl and Boy Scouts, the religious organizations and the different service groups from Metuchen.

The little tots got an extra treat with a wisit with Santa after the parade at the Senior Citizen Center. With hot chocolate being provided by the Metuchen Recreation Commission.
