Honey Stash Dispensary, the first legally licensed cannabis dispensary in the Metuchen/Edison community, is already making waves with its community involvement. As construction nears completion, the store is excited to announce two major events ahead of its opening in December.
Located at 700 Middlesex Ave in downtown Metuchen, Honey Stash Dispensary has partnered with the Borough’s arts community to host the Metuchen Pops Festival. This vibrant celebration of pop culture featured a diverse lineup of artists and surprise performances. Honey Stash generously sponsored a photo booth, an iconic VW van that allowed attendees to capture memorable moments and take home souvenirs of the day. Additionally, the store showcased its own artist, NJ-based Jovon Dennis, alongside other talented artists, creating artwork that complemented the festival’s theme. The photo booth was a huge hit, capturing over 100 pictures of attendees enjoying the festivities.

These events represent just the beginning of Honey Stash Dispensary’s commitment to supporting local activities and fostering a sense of community. The store’s involvement in these initiatives demonstrates its dedication to providing a positive and enriching experience for its customers and the surrounding residents.
According to Jeff Miller, Executive Director of Honey Stash, they are thrilled to be a business member of this vibrant community. They couldn’t be happier with the warm welcome they’ve received from the Borough and its council. They hope this is just the beginning of many town events they’ll be a part of.
Honey Stash’s goal is to be active community members and help educate and eliminate the stigma surrounding cannabis, which has been created by years of misinformation. They believe that by participating in events like this, they can contribute to this goal.
Honey Stash has also formed a partnership with the JCC of Middlesex County. Their first event together was this week’s sold-out Pickleball Tournament in East Brunswick. The tournament attracted a large number of people who enjoyed playing America’s hottest sport and had a great time.

“People don’t always perceive cannabis as a Health and Wellness product,” explained Valese, the Chief Cannabis Officer at the dispensary. When JCC CEO Adam Glinn and Senior Development Officer Talia Tor met with us to explore potential collaborations between Honey Stash and their center and members, this sponsorship appeared to be an ideal opportunity to showcase cannabis and its medical benefits to them. Given the significant emphasis on physical fitness within the JCC’s programming for the 21+ community in New Jersey, where cannabis consumption is legal, this partnership aligns perfectly with their goals. It offers alternative options that are less harmful to their bodies and beneficial in managing the pain they experience after workouts or engaging in activities like Pickleball, basketball, softball, or any other pursuits they undertake. This collaboration is also a crucial aspect of our educational objectives as we establish our presence here.
Honey Stash is committed to opening its Middlesex Avenue location in time to welcome the holiday season in December, bringing the green to the community.
