“The Country Fair is why we moved to Metuchen 20 years ago!” Verbatim was told us by friends from town. And we tend to agree. The event, organized by the Metuchen Area Chamber of Commerce is an anchor event that draws hundreds if not thousands of people. And people from all over come to enjoy a day of art, sports, music, dancing and food! Every year, the country fair organizer comes up with a theme to which the participants take a cue in decorating their booths. This year, the theme is “Let There Be Art”. Booth prizes for “Spirit of the Fair” and 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the categories of Execution of Theme, Youth Group and Most Interactive were awarded.
This year’s participants included: Community Organizations, Professional Services, Home / Garden and Pets groups, Houses of Worship, Real Estate companies, Food Vendors, Fitness places, Health and Welness, Schools & Education and Retailers.

For us, we loved seeing old neighbors and meeting new faces and interacting with the people behind the businesses and the organizations we come in contact with in town.
It’s wonderful to see all different kinds of ‘Metuchen Shirts’ up and down Main Street. Metuchen soccer, the Bulldogs shirts, the chamber shirts and all the little league uniforms adorned with big bold letters of Metuchen!
There is pride in wearing Metuchen. And the Country Fair is always a great opportunity to show off that pride. Thanks Metuchen Area Chamber of Commerce!
