June 3–24: Every Friday evening this month, the streets of Metuchen are transformed as the fourth annual Junebug ArtFest draws several hundred visual and performing artists. Featuring open-air exhibits, window galleries, interactive art events, live music and dance performances, open-mic sessions, a Junebug Pet Parade contest and children’s activities such as balloon artists, face painting and caricatures, the home-grown festival brings together members of the local community and artists of every discipline for a monthlong celebration of creativity.
