The Metuchen Arts Council and the Metuchen Downtown Alliance are presenting a free family movie night under the stars on Thursday, July 20th, featuring the hit animated Pixar- Disney movie, Inside Out.

Inside Out is about an 11-year-old girl named Riley (played by Kaitlyn Dias) who is uprooted from her Midwest life and moved to San Francisco. Her emotions – Joy, played by Amy Poehler, Disgust played by Mindy Kaling, Sadness played by Phyllis Smith, Anger, played by Lewis Black, and Fear played by Bill Hader, conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school.

For this movie night event, the parking lot of the Metuchen Senior Center will be converted into an outdoor movie plaza for the evening. Beginning at 8:00 p.m. there will be arts & crafts provided by Creative Twist, a DJ, face painting and balloons for the kids. The movie will begin at dusk.

Local food vendors will also be on hand offering snacks and drinks. There will be free bags of popcorn to the first 100 guests. The public is invited to bring lawn chairs and spend a relaxing evening with family and friends.
The Metuchen Senior Center is located in the heart of downtown Metuchen at the corner of New and Center Streets. In case of rain, the event will be rescheduled to August 3rd.
