International Walk to School Day

On October 3rd, Edgar Middle School students and staff participated in International Walk to School Day for the fifth consecutive year. Participants organized at one of four locations within the Borough of Metuchen. Over 200 students and 30 staff participated in this event which promotes physical fitness/wellness and demonstrates support for the environment. Walk to School Day extends beyond the school and into the community as walkers were escorted by patrolmen from the Metuchen Police Department. When participants arrived at the school, they were treated to a pancake breakfast that was prepared and served by additional teaching staff. Special thanks to Language Arts teacher, Linda Donohue who organizes the annual Walk To School Day for Edgar Middle School. Pictured are Edgar Principal, Kathy Glutz, and Edgar School students, who began their walk to school by gathering first at Moss School.
