On Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, 2013 the Metuchen Area Chamber of Commerce honored our Purple Hearts with its 86th Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony. This Metuchen tradition is one of the area’s longest established Memorial Day parades. Due to construction at the Lake Avenue Bridge, the parade route and ceremony location have changed this year. It took place inside the Edgar Middle School gymnasium at the conclusion of the parade.
