Mark your calendars for the Metuchen Cookie Walk on Sunday, December 15, 2024, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. (or until the cookies run out) at the Metuchen High School Cafeteria, located at 400 Grove Ave, Metuchen, NJ. This beloved holiday event, which began in 2015, raises funds for It Takes A Borough, a nonprofit organization dedicated to compassionately supporting local residents facing adversity.

The concept of the Cookie Walk is delightfully simple: bake, buy, and give. Local residents and supporters generously donate thousands of homemade cookies, which are then sold during the event. Attendees can purchase a small box for $12 or a large box for $20 to fill with an assortment of delicious cookies crafted by talented bakers in the community.
Since its inception, the Cookie Walk has successfully raised over $70,000, providing vital assistance to those in need within the Metuchen area. This year, attendees are encouraged to make an even greater impact by bringing gift cards to donate to the event’s giving tree, which will support local supermarkets, drugstores, and big box retailers.
If you’re interested in volunteering or have any questions about the event, please reach out via email at cookiewalk@ittakesaborough.com. Join us for a day of festive fun while helping to make a difference in the lives of our neighbors!
