Nine years ago, Michelle Offsie, a valuable member of the Edison Community lost her battle to breast cancer. Michelle was an amazing woman who never gave up. It was always a “good day” to Michelle. Michelle Offsie had a heart full of love and a smile that lit up any room. We celebrate Michelle through this memorial walk and continue to raise much needed awareness and funds to find a cure for breast cancer.

Here are some of the startling statistics that inspire us to come together and Walk:

  • The chance of a woman having invasive breast cancer sometime during her life is about one in eight.
  • The chance of dying from breast cancer is about one in 35
  • Nearly two out of three women with invasive breast cancer are age 55 or older
