If you were wondering what the hey was going on with the crazy traffic on Central and Plainfield Avenue this weekend, well the cause was the very popular Jersey Shoout. Metuchen last weekend pretty much became the capital of Lacrosse! Over 125 Teams from all over the tri-state made their way to the vast expanse of St. Joe’s field to play Lacrosse the whole weekend. This event was a grade based divisions championship format where college coaches are in attendance. Each team plays 4 games with prizes awarded by Maverik Lacrosse.
The place felt more like a festival than a sporting event. With players and their families setting up camp on the grounds and the organizers providing food and what nots. If you’re a fan of Lacrosse, I’m pretty sure you were there with Lacrosse fans for a weekend of fun and games!
