By Jim Lambert via NJ.com – The first big Saturday of the NJ outdoor season features several great meets, and the 5th Metuchen Relays promises to be one of the best meets in the state once again. The meet will begin this Saturday in Bulldog Country at 9 a.m. Loaded with powerhouse programs like Union Catholic, South Brunswick, Freehold Twp., Metuchen, Old Bridge, Rahway, Roselle, North Hunterdon, Piscataway, and Toms River South, and Morristown, this meet should provide plenty of early season fireworks. There are 2 divisions-A (Groups 1-2 and Non-Public B) and B (Groups 3-4 and Non Public A).

-All events will be seeded and contested combined….medals will be giving out according to group classification.
-Unlimited relay entries ( B Teams will run separate from A Teams)
-Unlimited individuals per individual events
-¼ inch spikes

Medals to the top 6 in each relay event
Medals to the top 10 in each individual event
*Watches to the Most Outstanding Relay of the Day
Meet Order
-Boys will follow Girls in each running event
-Boys Discus and Girls Shot will be first
-Long Jump will be an open pit – Triple Jump to follow
Javelin – 2 sites
-Girls will throw at site A (side of the school) first
-Boys will throw at site A or B after Discus is complete
