SOAPSKEPTICSBANNER

We are Rosie McNeill and Andrea Garcia and we make SoapSkeptics. We are alumni of Metuchen High School.

SoapSkeptics is embarking on a road trip this August- September of 2014 in order to film a documentary about art and culture.
We are fascinated by the ways in which technology and our quickly evolving society has influenced the ways in which people view/make art today. This is why we are meeting with local artists across the USA and interviewing them about the subject.

We are also going to be making our own weavings made out of natural raw materials we find in each location we stop in.

In the end, we will have a DVD of the documentary on art & culture and we will also have a book published of the weavings and drawings we do along our journey.

We just launched a Kickstarter campaign to make this project possible. We need to raise $5,000 by June 30, 2014. The funds will help us rent a car, pay for gas, get some better filming equipment, and eat for the month and a half that we are gone.

It’s a big trip, but we are extremely excited to meet different artists and experience different lifestyles America has to offer.

We are reaching out to our local hometown of Metuchen to try to help us reach our goal. We have rewards and incentives on our Kickstarter page for anyone who helps us out.

We will also be at June Bug every friday on the corner of Main and Pearl by the Metuchen Savings Bank! So please, don’t be shy and stop by. 🙂

We are so grateful for anyone who watches/shares/donates our Kickstarter campaign.

Thanks & Peace,

Rosie & Andrea
