On Sunday, October 24th at 2PM at the the Metuchen Public Library (480 Middlesex Ave), author Ned Vizzini will present “How Not to Go Crazy in High School”, a family program for teens, pre-teens, and the adults in their lives. With trademark wit and frankness, the author shares his stories from his book and his life to deliver an uplifting message of hope and confidence for today’s teens.
Ned Vizzini is the author of two novels: the award winning It’s Kind of a Funny Story (2006), which is soon to be released as a motion picture, and Be More Chill (2004) which is set in Metuchen, NJ.
His first book Teen Angst? Naah…(2000) is a compilation of essays which were originally published separately in The New York Press when the author was between 15 and 18 years old. These stories focus on the middle school and high school years. Ned Vizzini’s talk will conclude with a question and answer session with the audience. All three books will be available for purchase and for the author to sign at the event. The author visit is free and open to the public.
The program will conclude the nationally celebrated Teen Read Week and is sponsored by the Friends of the Metuchen Public Library. For more information call 732-632-8526 or email KLiss@Lmxac.org.
