Cub scouts is an exciting introduction to the scouting program for 1st to 5th grade boys. Cubs do stuff – lots of stuff – with their adult partners. This program is intended to open up the world to inquisitive minds along with the caring guidance of adults.
The Metuchen Cub Scouts Pack 15 is a place where young boys are introduced to key personal traits and the 10 Purposes of Cub Scouting which are:

  1. Character Development
  2. Spiritual Growth
  3. Good Citizenship
  4. Sportsmanship & Fitness
  5. Family Understanding
  6. Respectful Relationships
  7. Personal Achievement
  8. Friendly Service
  9. Fun & Adventure
  10. Preparation for Boy Scouts

The Cub Scout program runs on three levels. The Cub Scout and his adult partner meet to do activities centered around the family. Then, the Cub Scout and adult partner meet with the rest of the Den to fulfill Den Activities and Go See It requirements. Finally once a month the Cub Scouts meet with the rest of the Cubs to perform activities as a Pack.
