via Sentinel – Metuchen’s Peter Kim won the American Junior Golf Association’s New Jersey Junior tournament after carding a personal-best, four-under-par round of 67.

Kim won the New Jersey Junior by four strokes with his 67 coming on the heels of his 68 the day before for a 135 total for 36 holes. Ji Soo Park from Centreville, Va., was the runner-up, carding a 70-69-139, and third place went to Will Griffin from Lutkin, Texas, (68-74) and Greg Schmaus from Upper Saddle River (71-71), who both shot a 142, seven strokes behind Kim.

“Basically I did everything I was supposed to,” said Kim, in a press release from the American Junior Golf Association. “I hit a lot of greens, made a lot of putts and had my irons going.” FULL STORY
