via MyCentralJersey – The Metuchen Borough Improvement League (BIL) is searching for homes located in Metuchen or Edison to include on its Holiday House Tour to be held on December 5, 2010. Is your home filled with charm? Is it historically or architecturally interesting? Has it recently been remodeled? If you can answer “yes” to any of these questions, your home may be the perfect candidate for the famous tour.

If selected, you will receive free tickets to the Holiday House Tour, various holiday decorations courtesy of the BIL in conjunction with the Garden Club of Metuchen, a hand-crafted wooden collectible of the Old Franklin School, an original artist’s rendering of your home, and a historical analysis of your home based on available local history sources.

For more information or to submit your home for consideration, please contact Karen McNamara, House Tour Chairperson at (862) 368-2202 or e-mail her at jkmcnamara@optonline.net. The BIL, founded in 1901, is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization devoted to community service and preserving the historic Old Franklin School in Metuchen. The Holiday House Tour is the BIL’s biggest fundraiser. For more information about the BIL, see boroughimprovementleague.org.
