Metuchen Elks Lodge #1914 is located at 87 Middlesex Avenue, Metuchen, NJ 08840. Meetings are held on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at 7:30 pm. The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE; also often known as the Elks Lodge or simply The Elks) is an American fraternal order founded by Joseph M. Norcross in 1868 originally as a social club in New York City, United states. Today headquartered at Elks National Veterans Memorial in Chicago, Illinois, it is one of the leading fraternal orders in the United States, with nearly one million members.


Also participating is The Pride of Metuchen Marching Band headed by its director John Messenger. The parade is one of the activities in the annual convention of the New Jersey State Elks.
